National Student Advertising Competition

Each year, the Bruin Advertising and Marketing Team competes in a nationwide competition run by the American Advertising Federation. It’s a real-world experience unlike any other. Companies like Nissan, Indeed, Coca-Cola, and State Farm outline a case study about their product. Teams must research and create comprehensive advertising and communications solutions to pitch to a panel of industry judges. Out of over 140 regional competitors, only 18 teams are selected as finalists in the National Competition (where UCLA took first place in 1999). The experience of preparing and presenting real, tangible marketing campaigns gives Bruin AdTeam members the opportunity to gain practical skills while developing their ability to think strategically. It is an experience like no other, and AdTeam works tirelessly to maintain our reputation for innovation, drive, and pure passion for the field.
